With newer techniques on how we implement nifty rollover effects, sliding windows, transparency’s, hover effects (thanks jquery), how necessary is flash? Who really wants to learn action script to create a website that you can’t even click the back button on? Then there is downloading updates and waiting for sites to load.

Unless a site is done really well in flash I just end up clicking away.  Forgive me but all this instant technology has spoiled me and I no longer have the patience to wait for a site to load.

Maybe that’s the answer.  Unless a site is done really well in flash.  Because of jquery most sites are able to incorporate flash like elements without having to use flash.  For those flash lovers out there this can only mean for them the bar has been raised.

Personally, I probably won’t be rushing out to learn the latest flash techniques.  However for those who still use it or want to use it allow me to provide you with some helpful links to hopefully inspire and get those creative juices going.
