Isolated, even. Where are all your InDesigning, Microsoft Wording, WordPressing, clock-punching, freelancing peeps in the land of Fastnachts and butter statues?

Welcome to Harrisburg Design (HBGD)!

We’re the spiffy new hub for ”there is no spoon” creatives in the Susquehanna Valley. Here we’ll gather. Commiserate. Rejoice. Maybe even storm the Bastille together. All for the love of  practical peer-to-peer advice, lasting friendships, and a rewarding career.

Is this site just for designers?

Fahgedaboutit. A designer created the site, so she’s a wee bit biased. We want anyone who’s ever looked at, written, or shed a tear over a creative brief: Designers. Copywriters. Traffic Managers. Bloggermeisters. The gamut! We all have to work together in the 9 to 5 realm, so why not here as well?

Who can join?

The rules are mind-numbingly simple:

• You must be a creative professional living in the Central PA area.
• You must have an online resume and portfolio
• You must have an insatiable desire to make friends with like-minded creative individuals for FREE!

This is the jump-off

Right now everything is shiny. But as we get up to speed, we expect to hit our share of potholes. That means we’re counting on you to be our struts. We want your feedback (Constructive or kvetching). Suggestions. Anything rolling around in your head that will make this site better. Zippy. Smell nice without that little green tree hanging on our rearview mirror.
